lacyheart This is one of those cards where…if you have the patience and like to do detail work then you’ll like doing something like this. If not, then I don’t recommend it. It takes time and just a tad bit of patience. (I think I understated that last bit. hehehe)

The lacy part around the heart was created using the punched pieces from my border on my chocolate & vanilla butterflies card here (just below the ribbon). I was playing with the pieces on the top of the heart stamp when I realized how pretty it would be to place them around the heart shape on a real card. So that’s exactly what I did.

It’s a rather simple yet pretty card in my eyes. Here’s what I used…

I used a zig memory 2 way glue stick and a paper piercing tool in order to glue and pick up the tiny fleur de lis pieces once the glue was dabbed on the backside. I purposely left off a sentiment so I could use it for any occasion that might come up. It would be lovely for a wedding, birthday, sympathy, or anniversary card. I used textured kiwi kiss for the background and of course I had to cuttle it. I used my heart fiskar plate for this one. Then I used a piece of kiwi kiss Urban Garden  for the background of the heart. I really like the strong features of both backgrounds. Yet they are not over powering to the heart. The fleur de lis’ are gold and really set off the image which was stamped in tangerine tango. I added a copper brad and filigree embellishment to the heart. I added just a small pop of color with a large mustard colored brad. The ribbon is whisper white 5/8″ organza. Again, I am sorry for the photo. I have to call it a night because the weather is truly bad. Lots of lightening and thunder and time to turn off the computer. Thank you for stopping by. Have a great day tomorrow!
